She's Free!

We took the side off of Bailey's crib the other night.  I am happy to report she goes to bed like a champ and only comes out if she has pooped her pants.  I was a little nervous about naps but Devin said she did just fine yesterday when he was home and did just fine for me this morning after she pooped her pants.  She did however, fall out of it twice the other night but went right back to sleep when I put her back in it.  Now we are just working on her getting up in the middle of the night.  We were hoping it would change once she was in a bed but it hasn't.  Ryleigh is so excited that she is out of the crib because that means they get to get bunk beds.  Ryleigh had them picked out a long time ago.

Our little girl is growing up.  She has started saying a lot more words in the last month.  Next is getting her to stop sucking her thumb.  Then the potty training.

1st Hair Cut

I decided to give Bailey a little trim in hopes that her hair will grow.  She did very well sitting still.  However, her hair isn't as forgiving as Ryleigh since she doesn't have quite as many curls as she does but I think I managed to do a good job.

Snow!

We got quite a bit of snow this week.  While I was shoveling the driveway on Tuesday after it had snowed all day, the girls wanted to come out and play.  The pictures are pretty dark.  It was evening and I only had my phone on me that doesn't take the best pictures.

Bailey didn't like the depth of it.

Gymnastics

A snow day today meant I got to go with Ryleigh to gymnastics this morning.

New Addition

We have been looking at these for over a year.  We decided we couldn't pass this one up.  We upgraded to a 7 passenger vehicle knowing, in the distant future, we wouldn't be able to fit 3 car seats in our Nissan Altima.

Mazda CX-9

The third row folds down for more trunk space.  However, Ryleigh thinks she needs to ride back there for the time being.

Christmas

We went to my brother's house on Christmas Eve to play our annual game and for the kids to open jammies.  I was adventurous this year and made the girls pj pants.  They turned out pretty cute.

The girls were very excited for Christmas morning.  Ryleigh woke up at 5 and asked if Santa had left yet.  I told her it was still the middle of the night and we would check in the morning.  She fell back to sleep quickly and Bailey woke her up at 6:45.

Santa brought Bailey a shopping cart

and Ryleigh a camera that she had been asking for for months.

Bailey got very excited with each gift she opened before she even knew what it was.

After everything was opened and got things cleaned up, we got ready for the day and made the 4 hour trip to my sister's house in Washington.  It was fun spending time with part of my family for Christmas.  My youngest sister and her 2 kids were there and my parents made it from Montana.

The girls were showing Grandma what they got for Christmas

Mason and Bailey had fun playing together.  When she was taking a nap he would walk around asking where the baby went.

Grandpa watching cartoons early one morning with Bailey.

We all had a great time playing the new Just Dance game.  Even Grandma got into it!

We ventured out one day to check out Jumpin' Jelly Bean.

Thanks Harrisons for letting us come visit.  We had a great time and can't wait to go back.
