Family Photos

While we were in Montana, my dad was kind enough to take some pictures for us.  I love how they turned out!  Even though we got eaten alive by mosquitoes.  Here are some of our favorites.  Now I have the hard decision as to which one do I print for our wall.

Thanks Dad!

Road Trip to Grandma and Grandpa's House

We took our time getting out to Montana stopping in Idaho Falls and meeting up with Devin's parents then heading to the historic town of Virginia City.

Baiely stood by the pianos forever while they played music.  She kept saying dancing, dancing.

We arrived at Grandma and Grandpa's on Father's Day before they got home from the family reunion.  So we had a yummy Father's Day dinner for them when the got home.

One day we took a drive into North Dakota to travel the Enchanted Highway.  A former principal stopped working to make metal sculptures to bring tourists to his tiny town.  There were 8 different sculptures.

This one is the world's largest metal sculpture.

At the grasshopper sculpture they had little grasshopper toys that the girls had fun playing on.

This was Devin's favorite, "Teddy Rides Again"

and this was my favorite, "Tin Family."

After a picnic lunch, seeing the sculptures and some ice cream, we headed to the aquatic center in Dickinson.

Grandma bought a new game for her classroom that we had to try out.  Ryleigh loved it!

The last night we were there, Grandpa built a fire so we could roast marshmallows and have s'mores.  They were delicious!  Thanks Grandpa.

We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa.  Thanks guys!

Dress Up

The girls have kept themselves busy playing dress up lately.  It is so fun listening to their little conversations while they are playing.

Apparently they think it is winter today even though it is 80 degrees outside.

Lucky Peak

We had a fun time playing in the sun and water at Lucky Peak on Friday.

Bailey had a blast floating around in the tube.

Ryleigh enjoyed digging in the sand with her cousins.

We all enjoyed relaxing in our new river run double tube.

Hair Cut Time

Bailey's hair has gotten pretty long and stringy in the back.  I have wanted to cut it for a while, but it isn't nearly as curly as Ryleigh's so I was nervous to do it.  However, I didn't want to pay someone to cut the little hair that she has.  Today I finally got brave.

 After

Much better!  I didn't do too bad.  I sat her in front of Dora so she would sit still.  Now it is all one length and still has a little bit of curl.

"I potty too?"

The last couple of weeks Bailey has asked every once in a while to go potty.  I was planning on training her the first part of the summer so it was perfect timing.  She was ready.  She even asked while we were camping to go in the pit toilets several times.

Thursday evening I put her in her Dora underwears.  I thought start with an evening so as not to exhaust her or me.  I remember how exhausting it is.  I put her on the potty every little bit and she went each time.  We went the whole evening accident free!  Maybe this won't be so exhausting after all.

This is was kept them entertained in between.  Ryleigh thought she would be helpful and go with out pants too.

Devin was home with them Friday while I was at my last day of work.  She only had one accident in her pull up when she was suppose to be taking a nap.  They went out to lunch and ran a few errands and she asked to use the potty while they were out and stayed dry.  I came home and Devin reported that this potty training business is a piece of cake.

She loves her Dora underwears.

This weekend she continued to do well.  Every time we put her on, she squeezes something out.  It is a piece of cake!  She prefers to wait and go number 2 when we put her in a pull up for bed.  Today she asked to go and it was number 2!  For the record, I have only cleaned up 2 #1s and 2 #2s.  Not bad at all for 4 day.

Today she wanted to bring Dora and her potty to the bathroom with her.

Not sure where she got this idea, but she holds her shirt up with her mouth.
Way to go Bailey!
