Duck Feeding Not a Success
We took Ryleigh to feed the ducks yesterday. She got a kick out of seeing them but we couldn't get her to feed them. Every time we would give her a piece of bread she quickly put it in her mouth. I guess we need to work on sharing.

Broadway Look Out!
I have been trying to get a video of Ryleigh singing and dancing but have failed every time; until tonight that is. Whenever she hears music she stops what she is doing to sing and dance along. This first video is the better of the two, but really dark.
In this video you can also see her new skill she just learned today, walking backwards. Once she figured it out, she kept doing it over and over.

Playing Outside
Since I have been on summer break, Ryleigh has loved every chance she gets to go play outside. Usually after her nap she goes to the back door asking to go out and play. This afternoon I took the camera out with us.
Topsy Turvy Update
It hasn't been very nice weather here this month so our tomato plant hasn't done much. I was so excited when I went out to water it this afternoon to find this...
the first blossoms!

Zoo Day
It was a nice day for a zoo visit so we decided to head to our little zoo in Boise. Ryleigh had a blast seeing all of the animals. She got real excited and often tried to get out of the stroller to get a closer look. When we did get her out of the stroller to get a closer look, she didn't want to be put down, even when we put her next to penguin statues.

Baby's First Pedicure
I was painting my toenails tonight and Ryleigh stood there the whole time and watched carefully. I decided to give it a try with her. I put her up on my lap and she was so excited. She put her foot up ready for me to paint her toenails before I had the polish in hand. She sat perfectly still the whole time and kept pointing to them when I was finished. We will see what Daddy says when he gets home.

Walking
Ryleigh took her first steps a week before she turned 1. However, up until earlier this week, she would not walk willingly on her own. Now she walks until she falls and then she crawls the rest of the way to get to her destination.
Ryleigh likes backing her butt up to sit on our lap if we are on the floor or couch with her. At the end of this video, that is what she is doing.
