I made a lady bug cake. She was pretty excited when everybody started singing to her.
We also got a free cake from Albertson's so we let her have that whole cake. She dug right into the frosting when I set it in front of her.
She doesn't usually like to get her hands dirty. I thought she would freak out.
And this is as messy as she got. Not too shabby. None in the hair, no bath required after the event.
She was done after about 5 minutes and then wanted some ice cream.
The first thing she noticed when she opened Aunt Nicole's gift was the tag, not the adorable outfit.

Happy birthday Ryleigh! Way to dig into that cake and make a mess girl! I'm shocked that they gave you a full cake, they do it at Albertson's in Oregon, but it's just an individual little round one. She looks like she made quite the little haul at her party. Ashlyn can't wait to see her in her new outfit she picked for her...hopefully she wear it when she's here in Georgia. Way cute job on the cake Momma!
Blake says (and I agree) that she looks just like you now...again, FINALLY some McDowell genes being passed along. Glad somebody is doing it, I sure didn't.
Wow I can't believe she is already a year old. What a cute ladybug cake. Looks like a fun little party!
