Ryleigh loves us to read books to her. She would sit there for hours if we wanted to.

Toes

Someone discovered her toes this morning and hasn't stopped playing with them since. Now she rubs her head with one hand and plays with her toes using the other hand. Good thing Grandpa McDowell isn't here to teacher her how to put those toes in her mouth like he taught Mariah. Yuck! And good thing Blake isn't here to teach her how to use her toes to put tots in her mouth. Double Yuck!!

McDowell Family Reunion

This last weekend was the McDowell family reunion in Carson City, NV. We were able to attend and had a blast.

We spent a day in Reno visiting the animals at Cabelas...


and strolling through the Hot August Nights Car Show.



We spent a day at Lake Tahoe...


enjoying each others company...


trying to swim in the knee deep swimming area...


and eventually giving up and swimming in the nearby pool.



We played games...

like the water/category game...


had arm wrestling matches...


ate lots of food and had a lot of laughs.

Cooling Off

It's good to know that we pay our electric bill in the summer for Lizzie's benefit. She knows where the vent is in every single room in the house and that is the only place you will find her laying. Especially if she has just come in from outside. She knows the way to cool off.

Tummy Time

Ryleigh HATES tummy time but can tolerate it if Lizzie is joining her

I guess this is what happens when Ryleigh sucks her thumb with a sharp fingernail.

As you can see from this second picture, she loves lights. Whenever the flash goes off her eyes get really big.
