This is how I frequently find them when
it is Dad's turn to babysit. The squirt bottle is
to keep Lizzie away because she gets pretty
jealous when Devin is holding Ryleigh.

Ryleigh Jayne Larsen

The newest member of the Larsen family joined us on May 9th
at 10:38am. She weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and was 19 inches long.
Everything went well and we were able to come home yesterday.

The anticipation is now over!!

Devin started his new job as a drug and alcohol counselor yesterday. He thought of everything imaginable that could go wrong to prevent him from being able to go to his first day of work. Tuesday evening he was sure I was going to go into labor, Wednesday morning on the way to taking me to work, he was sure he had a flat tire. Needless to say, none of that happened and he made it to the first day of work. I am glad the first day is over as I am sure he is. He has been so nervous the last two weeks, as anyone is starting a new job, not knowing what to expect, wondering if he made the right decision. He thinks he is really going to like it but is going to have to learn some patience to sit through some meetings he is going to have to attend.

HALLELUJAH!!

The forever long project of painting Ryleigh's room is finally
finished. It was worth the wait. I love it!! Devin even likes it
a lot. We are still planning on putting a chair rail to separate
the pink and the brown on the wall.


Lizzie has been shunned from this room since we started
this project. The moment we let her in she sniffed around
and hung out in it for quit awhile. She has been in there
numerous times since. I think she thinks this is her
new room as she had to be in the picture.




I still have lady bug decor I am going to put up
on the walls.

8 Months Pregnant

Field Trip

We took our 4th graders to visit the Oregon Trail Interpretive
Center in Baker City, OR for our field trip this year. By the
brochure they sent us, I thought they were going to have more
hands on activities for the kids. But nonetheless, we had a good time.








It was way too windy and cold to walk the trail to see
the original wagon ruts. This is all the further we made it.
The first thing to see along the trail was an original wagon
they used that was built in 1880.
